Nickelodeon Line Features Furniture for Children, Tweens and Teens   www.nickelodeonrooms.com

Lea Furniture took Nickelodeon’s “kids’ first” approach to heart with the creation of Nickelodeon Rooms. The youth furniture collection engages kids’ individuality while instilling a sense of pride and ownership in their own space.

Lea’s product development team recognizes that a kid’s bedroom is more than just a place for them to sleep, it’s their world. They created Nickelodeon Rooms as a furniture line that will turn a room of any size or shape into a place where kids can express themselves, surround themselves with friends, celebrate their achievements and enjoy the treasures they love.

Three collections from Nickelodeon Rooms - Nick, TweenNick and TeenNick - are currently hitting retail floors nationwide beginning with the rollout celebration events at RC Willey Home Furnishings.

The Nick concept – designed for kids 3-7:

The goal for the Nick line was to incorporate images of Nickelodeon’s most recognizable properties, yet keep the design commercial enough for all to enjoy. The graphic designs include “Classic” SpongeBob SquarePants shown with his best friend Patrick; a new more “lifelike” Diego and Baby Jaguar; Dora and her best friend Boots; and a more contemporary “Simply Bob” featuring the silhouette of SpongeBob SquarePants floating in bubbles. All four designs also feature “glow in dark” elements making them even more “kid-friendly”.

With unique reversible panels, each item in the Nick collection is like getting five pieces in one. Kids can change from all-white furniture, made from select hardwoods and veneer with a painted white finish, to their favorite Nickelodeon character.

The Nick line offers an assortment of three Nick Hide & Sleep beds, the Platform bed, the Storytime Captain’s bed and the Adventure Loft with Play Tents. To complete the room, the Nickelodeon Rooms collection offers coordinating chests and pieces, including a 52” high 5-drawer chest, 32” high 7-drawer dresser, 27” high single drawer nightstand and 44” high vertical mirror.

Kids can keep their rooms more organized with innovative storage features, like under-bed drawers, a footboard that doubles as a book and magazine rack and drawers and shelves that are built into the steps of the loft bed. To meet parents’ need for extended life and long-term value, Lea developed the Grow With Me desk and play table. The Grow With Me functionality allows parents to raise or lower the play table and desk top to a “just-right height” that’s perfect for their child.

The TweenNick concept – designed for kids 8-11:

The TweenNick line is designed to be eclectic with mix and match styling that allows tweens to pick and choose personality pieces to express their own style. It includes graphic designs featuring “Bob Squared” - a fresh, more artistic perspective of SpongeBob SquarePants where his image is revealed in geometric patterns, “Simply Bob” using orange coral graphics and the Sea Flower with SpongeBob SquarePants silhouetted within the graphics and Nickelodeon’s signature SLIME! The design elements can be changed or removed - with the only exception being the three signature chests.

The signature Awesome Accent chests include the Bob Squared chest, the Bikini Bottom chest and the SLIME! Time chest. They add a bit of rebellious irreverence with funky shapes and all-over graphics or touches of dripping glow-in-the-dark SLIME!  Orange drawer pulls, glow-in-the-dark accents and stylized and silhouetted SpongeBob SquarePants graphics make the room an exciting place to be.

Beds are the focal point of the TweenNick collection with four different options. The Cave is a loft bed with reversible panels in SLIME! and Bob Squared and a privacy curtain for below. The Zone include a personality corner and back panel bed with three magazine holders, two 8" X 10" frames for favorite photos and an orange fabric push-pin memo board. Geared toward girls, the Retreat comes with six large drawers in the footboard as well as underbed storage drawers and two large-sized shelves that are perfect for books or prized possessions. The Slider easily changes from a daybed to a regular bed simply by sliding the castered platform in and out from its storage headboard. With the platform slid into the 17" deep headboard, the Slider is a daybed with upholstered back rests in orange microfiber fabric that make it a comfortable place to hang out, do homework or play video games.

The TeenNick concept – designed for the teenager and beyond:

Teens don’t consider themselves kids anymore, which is why Lea designed the TeenNick collection to offer more sophisticated and contemporary gathering places. Hardwoods and hand selected Mango veneers with a Chocolate finish combine with white drawer fronts and accents of orange to create furniture that can easily go from their bedroom at home to their dorm room or apartment.

Electronics are a big part of a teen’s world, so it’s a big part of the TeenNick furniture. There are plenty of places and spaces for the must-have technologies of the day, including laptops, cell phones, game consoles, TV’s and MP3 players.

With TeenNick, there are many creative sleeping options: a mixed media study loft bed; a very contemporary panel bed with nightstands; unique storage headboards where the mattress fits inside the headboard; and a day bed with optional “study wall” and entertainment/media headboard - creating a “room within a room”. Rooms stay neater with ample storage built into each piece, a wheeled entertainment stand adds mobility and a desktop that can swivel 360° is included for maximum space access and flexibility.
